Ahhh… The Little Mermaid is probably my favorite classic Disney film. I was very obsessed with mermaids and red hair after seeing this.

Sang this for CTY 2003 talent show. I became known as “[Asian] Little Mermaid girl”. The “Asian” part was usually unnecessary because well, we were plentiful at CTY.
I always kind of want to cry when I sing it. There’s so much desperation and yearning in this song. (Granted, Ariel was pretty whiny. She had it pretty good in the sea.)
I am going to have to do a post about the most influential Disney films of my childhood. This one will probably be #1. I was obsessed with red hair and mermaids for a good 3 years. (Secretly, I still am. I just draw mermaids WAY less in my journals. =P)

I also like Ariel’s. But I not a fan of The Little Mermaid-inspired gowns because they’re always mermaid-style (of course), and I don’t look very good in them.
